BIOGRAPHY
Selling her first jewelry creations at the age of eight, the one founded element in her life has been design. This young self-starter adapted to her family's nomadic lifestyle and appreciation of mother nature, as Blair Lauren fondly expresses through her boldly stated jewelry. Spending her childhood in various regions of the U.S., she incorporates mother nature in her most beautiful form, marrying concepts from rugged Alaska, the enchanting islands of Hawaii and the colorful seasons of Idaho and Colorado. When she's not in her Lake Tahoe-based home studio, Blair finds herself in the midst of adventure, travel and challenge. |
Taking to heart in her ethical beliefs as a jeweler and involvement in consumer culture as an entrepreneurial designer, Blair Lauren is committed to enhancing the arts and is an active member of 'No Dirty Gold', a non-profit aimed to educate consumers, retailers and the general public about alternatives to the gold industry's environmental impacts due to irresponsible gold mining. She also supports '1% for the Planet', an organization dedicated to building support among an alliance of businesses that are financially committed to creating a healthy planet.
Blair uses her company and her position as a platform for awareness and community building. She is personally politically active in the above mentioned campaigns, using her business as a structural support to hostess and facilitate events in support ethical causes on a larger scale. Having spent years working in cultural marketing and business development for a range of start up companies across the country her event and partner building experience is extensive.
